Twitch

The twitch engine embeds a live Twitch channel or a Twitch collection in Television Simulator. It is available in TVS 5.1.0 and later.

The shorthand form uses the string as the Twitch channel name. You can also use the expanded form to embed a channel or collection:

Twitch embeds may not play

There are reports of Twitch embeds not playing in some browsers, especially Brave. If you’re having trouble try using Chrome instead. Follow this issue for updates.

A secure context is required

The Twitch player will not run unless TVS is running in a secure browser context, either over localhost or over HTTPS. Otherwise, TVS displays an HTTPS error instead of the stream.

Properties

Provide either channel or collection. If neither property is present, TVS cannot initialize the Twitch player.

channel shorthand

Type: string

Description: The name of the Twitch channel to show. Use the channel name from its Twitch URL, not the complete URL. For example, use twitch for https://www.twitch.tv/twitch.
