Startup Duration Not Set
Why does this error occur?
Section titled “Why does this error occur?”If you use startup content without specifying a duration and the content engine does
not support end detection there is no way for TVS to determine when the content ends so
the startup content would play indefinitely and the TV would never load without
manual intervention.
The following content engines support end detection:
This means that they can inform TVS when they’re done playing, so don’t need a manually
set duration when called using startup settings.
Intentionally having an infinite startup:
Section titled “Intentionally having an infinite startup:”If you’d prefer to force the user to interact with the tuner to disable the start screen,
you can set the duration to 0 and the content will play until interrupted whenever
the startup content is programmed to come on. You might want to do this if your content
should stay at some sort of “title screen” where you’d want the user to interact with
the content.
